Prepare your project brief
A clear starting point makes the first conversation more useful.
Describe the space
Note the type of property, location, approximate area and current condition. Explain who uses it, how it is used and any access or timing constraints.
List the practical priorities
Identify the problems you want to solve: circulation, storage, lighting, work areas, privacy or maintenance. Separate essential needs from ideas you would like to explore.
Bring a focused set of references
Collect a few images and explain what you like about each: the layout, colour, material or atmosphere. References help communicate preferences; they do not replace a design developed for your space.
Set expectations
Share an approximate budget and preferred timing. Discuss what is included in design, procurement, construction and handover before agreeing the scope.
Prepare the conversation
Use the project planner to create a short note. Review it before adding it to your enquiry. Detailed drawings and private documents can be discussed through an appropriate channel later.
